BX Digital and Chartered Investment jointly advance capital markets in tokenized assets
BX Digital and Chartered Investment have agreed on a joint project to make trading and settlement of tokenized securities, in particular Exchange Traded Products (ETPs), more accessible and efficient.
Chartered Investment offers issuance and tokenization services for financial products. Meanwhile, BX Digital, part of the Boerse Stuttgart Group, has established one of the world’s first regulated distributed ledger technology (DLT)-based exchanges for digital assets on public blockchain. Once a product has been issued and tokenized, issuers serviced by Chartered Investment can apply for admission to trading on BX Digital’s regulated DLT trading facility.
“Our mission is to act as a bridge between decentralized and traditional finance. Through our solutions, we enable the issuance and trading of electronic securities under the German eWpG framework – fully MiFID-compliant. The successful cooperation with BX Digital accelerates this vision and brings us closer to a truly integrated capital market,” said Markus Fehn, Head of Strategy & Innovation, Chartered Investment.
The collaboration reflects both companies’ commitment to building the capital market of the future: a modern, efficient, and investor-friendly market infrastructure for digital assets and tokenized securities. As a first step, Chartered Investment is preparing the admission of a fully backed physical gold ETP on BX Digital. While both tokenized gold and MiFID II-compliant gold products exist today, there is no product leveraging both: Tokenization, as well as MiFID II compliance. Chartered Investment will therefore close this gap and make physical gold accessible via BX Digital in a manner that does not exist today.
“The connection between BX Digital and Chartered Investment reflects our shared ambition to shape the future of capital markets. By simplifying the path from tokenization to trading and settlement, we are paving the way for new investment opportunities and experiences,” said Claudio Tognella, Director Sales & Business Development, BX Digital.
